Tom has been working with leaders, teams, and organizations to increase their effectiveness for over 30 years. As an executive coach, consultant, and educator, Tom has helped leaders in a variety of organizations from start-ups to global companies. He has worked with such clients as AIMCO, Eaton, Epiroc, Coors Brewing, Gates, OfficeMax, Pinnacol Assurance, UCHealth, and Western Union. Prior to founding StarQuest, Tom was Vice President of Marketing with  International Learning Systems, Inc. Before transitioning into the leadership and development industry, Tom worked for California Bancshares, Inc. and PiperJaffray/US Bank in the areas of management, commercial banking and investments. 

Tom has authored articles and has spoken at numerous conferences about leadership effectiveness, building high-performing teams, and organizational change. He is certified in a variety of assessments including The Leadership Circle®, Hogan Personality Assessments, BRITE Team Culture Survey and Caliper. He completed his executive coach training through the Coaches Training Institute (CTI), and his team systems training through the Organization and Relationship
Systems Coaching program at CRR Global. 

Tom holds an MBA from St. Mary’s College of California, and a BS in Commerce (Marketing) from the University of Santa Clara. Tom loves the outdoors and enjoys cycling, skiing, hiking, fly fishing, and spending time with his wife and two kids (ages 25 and 28). He resides in Evergreen, CO and Fort Worth, TX.
