Lara Solms
Dr Lara Solms PhD works as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Amsterdam. In her PhD project, Lara focused on the effectiveness of coaching for medical professionals and the psychological mechanisms that underlie positive coaching outcomes. Her research seeks to inform healthcare professionals (and others) about the benefits that coaching can have for their personal and professional development. Her ambition is to unravel the black box of coaching (when and how does coaching work?) and to better understand how individual coaching can spill over to teams and the organizations they work in.
Lara is passionate about the application of research to real-life settings. She has co-founded the coaching podcast PhD Unplugged that aims to promote PhD student wellbeing.
