Palena Neale Ph.D. is a highly accomplished executive coach, educator and consultant. She has more than twenty years’ experience of working with UN, non-profit, government, private sector and academic partners in the areas of organizational and leadership development. This includes designing and delivering women and leadership programs in Africa, Asia, Europe and North America. Dr Neale is the Founder and Managing Director of unabridged – an international coaching and mentoring practice.
Dr Neale has held senior roles at several UN agencies and numerous international organizations. Her expertise lies in Organizational Development and Adult Education. She is highly experienced in assessing human capital needs and skillfully aligns the design and delivery of tailored executive coaching and learning solutions with strategy to accelerate performance and social impact. Dr Neale is also a lecturer on numerous executive management programs, and lectures in Management and Leadership, and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion on MBA programs in France and the UK. She works in English and French.
Education and Training:
Dr. Neale holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Gender and International Politics from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth, UK; a Master of Arts in Gender and International Relations, University of Hull, UK and a Bachelor of Commerce (Honors) – Business Administration, University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, Canada.
Dr. Neale is an Associate Certified Coach (ACC), approved by the International Coach Federation (ICF) and certified in Change Management by Prosci Change Management Learning Centre.
Coaching and Mentoring:
Dr. Neale has designed and delivered the ‘Women’s Leadership Coaching Program - For Women Working in Global Development’ to help women see themselves – and have others see them – as leaders. The program is focused on building a leadership brand, improving self-awareness, identifying and promoting accomplishments, building and leveraging networks and resources, driving personal and professional change and positively influencing others.
She also developed and runs a global mentoring program – Mentoring Exchanges that matches leaders in low-income countries with executives and/or academics from around the globe. The program is operational in over 6 countries and is onboarding an additional 12 in francophone Africa.
