Ariel Finch Bernstein
Ariel Finch Bernstein is a PhD candidate of Social-Organizational Psychology at Columbia University. As a scholar and practitioner, Ariel integrates his background in executive coaching with his academic interest in managing difficult conversations: his current research explores the role and impact of feedback within coaching engagements.
In addition to his doctoral studies, Ariel also teaches Organizational Psychology as an Adjunct Professor of Psychology at Barnard College, and independently consults to enterprises around leadership development pursuits. He has previously served as Graduate Associate for Columbia University’s Executive Masters Program in Change Leadership, as well as Doctoral Fellow at Richie | Tye Consulting, an organizational development firm committed to helping non-profits build their capacity.
Ariel holds a bachelors degree in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley and was clinically trained at New York University, where he earned a masters degree in Counseling for Mental Health & Wellness.
In 2018, Ariel received a Harnisch Graduate Student Fellowship Grant for his research from the Institute of Coaching.
