Defining The Competencies Specific To Coaching Physicians
Gail, Schwab, kramer, moore

The unique culture and current circumstances of healthcare require an emphasis on particular competencies for coaches who work with physicians and their leaders. General coach competency models provide a foundation, but specialization is needed to adequately address these needs. In this webinar, authors of the paper Competencies for Those Who Coach Physicians: A Modified Delphi Study will discuss the results of a study aimed at codifying what coaches need to know and be able to do to work effectively with physicians.

Participants will:

  • Learn about the methodology used to develop expert consensus on physician coaching competencies
  • Understand how physician coaching competencies build on existing industry standards
  • Identify the key areas of competence in physician coaching
  • Examine some competencies in detail, including their particular relevance to healthcare clients
