Rachel Briles
Rachel Briles is vice president of project controls for Sempra Infrastructure. In this role, Briles is responsible for ensuring proper project controls are in place during development and execution for major projects and leads the capital value process for LNG & Net Zero Solutions, Energy Networks and Clean Power business lines.
Briles brings more than 18 years of professional experience in the energy industry, with a significant portion of her career focused on the development and execution of major capital projects. Most recently, as Director of Project Development for LNG & Net Zero Solutions, Briles led the approximately $13.5 billion dollar Port Arthur LNG Phase I project to final investment decision (FID). Briles also spent five years as a key member of the project management team for the Cameron LNG Phase I project. Briles joined Sempra in 2006 in supply management for San Diego Gas & Electric and has held various roles of increasing responsibility in the areas of construction, environmental, customer generation, project management, project development and project services. Briles is a founding member of GROW, which is a networking organization at Sempra Infrastructure with a vision to champion for women’s career development in energy infrastructure.
Briles holds bachelor’s degrees in business administration with an emphasis in supply chain management from the University of San Diego.
