Jan Rybeck

Cultivating  leaders, teams, and talent to meet the demands of complexity and change is at the core of Jan’s work.  A Master Certified Coach,  Jan has been coaching since 1995 and been a Fellow with the Institute of Coaching (IOC) for 10 yrs.Her webinar, articles, and CoachX video on Vertical Development are available through the IOC. She has led Executive Coaching business lines for several consulting firms, designed and delivered leadership development programs for government, healthcare, and private sector entities, taught on faculty with Harvard’s Psychology of Leadership Course, and served on faculty with New Ventures West Integral Coaching program.

Is this course completely asynchronous?

Yes, the main portion of this course is completely asynchronous. Members of the Institute of Coaching will also be able to participate with discussion groups that the IOC will host throughout the year that have topics that directly pertain to content with Vertical Leadership Development.

Do I need to be an IOC member to take this course?

No, this course is open to both IOC members and non-members. You do not need to be an IOC member to complete this course and receive the certificate of completion. Members of the IOC will have access to additional IOC resources, some of which are not available to the general public. Along with these additional resources, IOC members will have access to IOC discussion groups.

What will I learn in this course?

Individuals taking this course will learn about the conceptual foundations of vertical leadership development along with the definition and principles of vertical leadership development. The specific paths of Vertical Leadership Development (VLD) will be taught along with characteristics of each mindset stage. Coaches will also learn how VLD principles and approaches can add value to their practice. Users will learn assessments, and consider the implication and application of tools, methods, adn assessments for organizations, teams, and individuals.

What are the requirements for receiving CEUs on the courses?

Must complete all modules in the course and complete the final evaluation in order to receive CEUs.

How will I receive my CEUs?

You will receive an email upon completion of the course with a link to download your certificate. You can access this certificate anytime after receipt via a dashboard that allows you to save it as a pdf, add it to your LinkedIn certifications and share on social media!
